No, the Roamate Electric Wheelchair arrives fully assembled. It comes in a folded state, and you can simply unfold it to start using it right away.

Can I take Roamate on an airplane?

It depends. Some aircraft have a designated priority area for one manual or collapsible mobility device. This is available on a first-come, first-served basis. If the cabin storage is full or the aircraft type does not support it, your Roamate will be stored in the cargo hold. Mobility equipment is handled as priority luggage.To ensure a smooth experience, we strongly recommend calling your airline to confirm their specific cabin storage policies for your flight.

Can I test drive the device?

At this time, we do not yet have enough physical showroom locations to offer in-person test drives. We are actively working to expand our offline presence and partner network. For customers in the United States, the best way to try Roamate is to order directly from our website. We offer a 14-day money-back guarantee, which allows you to test the device at home in your own environment.

Roamate includes a 2-year warranty for the frame and a 1-year warranty for the motor, battery, and electronic components.
