Roamate is designed to be simple, intuitive, and quick to use.
Unfold Roamate
Release the folding hook.
Pull the loops on both sides to unfold the device.
Press down firmly on the seat until it's fully extended.
Fold Roamate
Release the rod lock at the rear support bar.
Grip the handle in the center of the seat and lift the chair upward.
Fasten the hook to secure the folded chair in place.
Note: If it's too tight to fasten the hook, gently place your foot against the rear wheel to keep it steady, then pull the wheelchair toward yourself to fold it further.

Absolutely love my Roamate, it's very good for using when walking then when you get tired it's easy to convert into the wheelchair. I would recommend buying it
Purchased this in September after a recommendation from my Daughter who has already purchased hers. Mine arrived at the end of December. I love it and it will help me a lot getting around. My issue is getting it in and out of the car because of the weight. I recommend getting one.
After a short while of unpacking and reading the manual, I was in a taxi going to an exposition. My Roamate performed as I hoped it would a few minutes of practicing with joystick. I was able to maneuver among exhibition tables and other attendees as you can see. This is a great product and I'm looking forward to enhancements that I'm sure to come as this is a brand new product. The team has been very easy to contact and work with with great response time for me. Kudos to Amy... any company would be honored to have her as the interface with customers.

Right out of the box after reading the manual, I was up and moving about with ease. Even in a crowded event space I can maneuver around without intruding on others. Love this lightweight, streamlined and very functional machine. Great way to get out and about. Much better than my two other wheelchairs.
I ordered this in April 2025 through Indiegogo fundraising. I received it at the end of November 2025, very securely packaged with the Roamate, battery, charger and manual. I love it, it's very easy to set up as a rollator or a wheelchair and to close up again. I also love the pink colour. The battery seems to last a long time. I am waiting for the basket, footrest and phone holder to complete it. I used the Roamate on a cruise and it worked really well, it also had many admirers and has become a talking point. No one seems to have seen anything like it before. I would thoroughly recommend it. Mine took a time to be delivered but this was because it was a fairly new product on the market. The customer service is also excellent.
❤️I honestly love my roamate! It's transformer- like capabilities are truly amazing. Long gone are the days of having to lug around multiple mobility devices [walker+wheel chair+power chair] on trips. My roamate turns heads everywhere I go too. People always stop and ask where I got it. Roamate should consider starting up a Brand Ambassador program for current customers. Word of mouth is a great way to get your product known.
This is such a great wheelchair, it has all i need and it serves me in a maximum way. I have a serious back problem and i will take the Roamate with me on all my travels, thank you so much Roamate, you made my life much easier.
Great design! Easy fold perfect for travel. Only complaint is too slow needs to go 3 mph faster
With the powered back wheels it takes time to get used to the front wheels lag in correction of direction.It is a good machine overall.
It is just a little heavy than I thought and a little to wide to navigate into stores for shopping

Haven't really used it as much as I want to.Because it's a heat wave around here period but I love the look and it's very comfortable. I mostly use it as a walker , and it's very helpful . I can't wait to use it at the mall as an electric chair.But I am procrastinating .

I just had open heart surgery and the Roamate is a life saver. It is so easy to use and in walker mode the quick brake lock makes it easy to stand-up without the fear of falling.
Don’t have white we bought the black. Have issue with going straight.
There are a few things that could be adjusted. The width of the seat is definitely wider than necessary, making it difficult to get through some doorways. If possible, perhaps the rear wheels could be moved to the inside, which would help a little. All in all the Roamate works well that is a little restrictive.
I bought this for my husband as a surprise. The surprise was on me when he had a medical emergency and ended up in health care for rehab after a short hospital stay. Roamate arrived and he had it in healthcare for the two weeks he was there. Everyone loved it. Our physical therapist was intrigued and just had to take it for a ride. Our only wish is for an easy way to get it in and out of our car. A bit heavy for us. But when traveling with family, they will load it for us.
It provides easy transport which is what I was looking for. I like the way it folds. It is a little wider than I'd like. The foot rests need to swivel which would also help with the width problem. A cup holder needs to be developed. And the controller is too touchy. All in all though, it totally lives up to my expectations.
Just love the ease of how this functions. It has allowed me to get out of the house more often. I love my Roamate and I tell everyone about it too!

With Pulmonary Fibrosis, I can’t walk very far and I must have my oxygen. With my Roamate I can walk/exercise a little and safely ride back. And at 30# I can muscle it into my car. Freedom. !! Isolation is a big enemy to chronic illness. The joystick is sensitive and gives me many laughs but I’m learning.
The Roamate wheelchair is amazing! I know it will prove quite useful. The instructions for use were easily understandable. I did find it heavy to load in my car but the weight was clearly indicated on the website when I ordered. My major concern is the joy stick control. It’s really sensitive and as an elderly woman, I can’t control it. I’ve never even used a joy stick. I wish there were another control mechanism.
My wife loves the Roamate , it is helping her get around more, she just wishes in manual mode she didn't have to feel the resistance so much when pushing on a flat surface
I love my new Roamate and I get a lot of oohs and ahhs when I'm out. They tell me they've never seen anything like it before and that's from hospital staff. I would suggest a cover that can go over it and protect it when it is loaded on airplanes. Also, some attachable front and rear lights when moving in parking lots to and from my vehicle during night travel from events.
Upon unboxing the wheelchair it was completely assembled. Only thing I had to do was charge the battery. Upon inspection of the wheelchair I noticed that the footrest is out to far from the chair. Also the angle of the foot pad is uncomfortable. With your foot on the pad that is an additional footage you loose on tight spaces. The foot pad should fold sideways just like a standard wheelchair does when you want to stand up. That is my biggest disappointment with the chair. New design folks! Michael
The initial setup instructions are a bit unclear. Easy once you figure it all out. Love the voice with controls. Easy controls. Seat a bit hard. Wheelbase too wide for my house doorways. Probably nice base outside. Would love if it could be made lighter. Otherwise a nice chair.
I took my new Roommate on a European river cruise and loved it! I could easily convert it from a walker to a wheelchair which let me go on many of the tours at each port. While it did drive over cobblestones, it was jarring - but so would be walking. I highly recommend it to anyone in that transition stage who needs support to enjoy life! Side note: I was stopped several times by locals who were interested in getting one. It would have been great to have a card or something to share with them since they didn't speak English. Great job Roommate!

My Roamate is great! Being able to quickly go from assisted walking to motorized transport makes getting out and about simple! I'm looking forward to our cruise in May because I will be able to roam freely at my own pace.
The Roamate is the most portable of all the wheelchairs I’ve tried. It is easy to fold and light enough for me to lift into a car. It is also much more stylish than other wheelchairs.

The chair is excellent quality. variety of speeds really helpful. very light and easy to move around without pulling your back out. ironically I ordered the pink on my order but after regretted that I did not order white so my wife and I can both enjoy out in public. To my surprise, the wrong color was sent from what was ordered and the white arrived...winning!
I would like to say I love it, but they sent me the wrong color Roamate and I didn’t receive the extra things I ordered so I really can’t give you a review on the product., It and when I get what I ordered and can actually use it I would be happy to review it.
The reality lives up to the promise. I really appreciate the rollator functionality — it’s smooth, stable, and easy to maneuver. The wheelchair setup is solid as well. I primarily use it around the house, but I’m planning to take it on a trip soon and expect it will be just as helpful outdoors. A quick story: I had a fall today. After using my emergency chair lift to get back up, I was able to safely transfer into the Roamate. It got me from the driveway back into my house without incident. In that moment, it truly saved the day. For me, it’s more than just equipment — it’s independence and peace of mind.
We recently purchased this electric wheelchair, and overall we are very pleased with it. At first, it was a bit difficult to pull open and required some physical effort. However, I believe that was mostly because it was the first time unfolding it, and it has become easier with use. The wheelchair itself is very easy to operate. The battery is simple to charge and easy to install, which makes daily use convenient. One thing to note is that the joystick is extremely sensitive, so it does take a little time to get used to the responsiveness. Overall, it’s a great product — well-made, sturdy, and good-looking. We’re happy with the purchase and would recommend it!
