CES 2026 recap: what the expo was like for Roamate

Throughout the show, many visitors stopped by our booth to learn more about Roamate and how it fits into everyday mobility and travel. The overall atmosphere at CES is fast-paced — people move quickly, conversations are dynamic, and everything happens at a much quicker tempo than usual, which made each interaction feel energetic and focused.

Our Brand Ambassador

We were also joined by David Rich, who was with us at the show representing Roamate as our brand ambassador. David was selected as one of our beta testers to try out our demo units, since then, the relationship has continued to grow naturally. At CES, he stood alongside us at the booth for all three days, speaking with interested visitors, sharing his own experience with Roamate, and supporting the team throughout the event. Having David there meant a great deal to us, and we are sincerely thankful for his help at CES. His journey with Roamate is also a great example of how we build close, long-term relationships with members of our community as we move forward together.

When Personal Experience Meets Product Design

During the show, a tech-focused YouTuber, Nater Tater, stopped by our booth to take a closer look at Roamate. His interest wasn’t just professional, it was personal.

As someone whose mother is a stroke survivor, Nater has firsthand experience with the everyday challenges of powered wheelchairs, especially when it comes to travel, portability, and flexibility. At the booth, he explored how Roamate transitions between powered wheelchair, powered walker, and transport chair, and how its lightweight, foldable design makes it suitable for air travel. He later shared that he plans to test Roamate in real travel scenarios with his mother, and compare it with other mobility devices his family has used.

Why CES Matters

For us, this kind of feedback — grounded in lived experience — is exactly why CES matters. We didn’t come to CES expecting immediate sales results. For us, the value of CES lies in being present alongside other innovative brands and having the opportunity to introduce Roamate to a wider audience. It’s about the conversations, the shared energy, and the chance to learn from people who care deeply about mobility, independence, and thoughtful design. Looking ahead, we’re focused on growing steadily, learning from the industry around us, and continuing to build together with our community and customers.
